Blue Star Marker and Flower Bed – Members plant and maintain the flower bed at our Blue Star marker located where 5th & 6th come together. The AGC designed and built the tiered bed. The municipality provides the plants.

Annual City Garden Tour —Find 8 to 10 homes in Anchorage willing to open their gardens for the public to view during five hours one day in July. Information on the Anchorage Garden Club is available at each home for the public to pick up.

Annual Flower Show —Members enter horticulture and designs for the standard flower show in August, open to the public. This year will be the 74th.

Holiday Flower Show —Put on a standard flower show in November open to the public and members to enter. This year will be the 56th. Held at the Wells Fargo Bank.

Alaska Arbor Day —The third Monday in May. Celebrate Arbor Day by planting trees, usually at a school. The children are provided information about trees and their care and participate in planting them. The club buys the trees and members do the program.

Garden Day —Provide information about gardening and the Anchorage Garden Club at a day devoted to gardening at the Sears Mall. Members staff the booth and answer questions.

Plant Sale —Hold a plant sale each year. Plants are donated from member’s gardens. Members give information on plants and answer questions about gardening and the garden club. This helps fund our community activities.
